Construct Two Group’s 3-D Animated Spiderman Ride in Orlando, FL, completed in May 1999, stands as a testament to innovative theme park technology. This $9.1 million, 50,000 sq. ft. attraction utilized a Design/Build approach with Construction Manager at Risk delivery. The ride features cutting-edge 3-D animation integrated with computer-controlled vehicles, synchronized sound, and film projection using 70-mm projectors. Operationally impressive, it handles 2,400 people per hour and has maintained a 99.2% availability since its March 1999 opening.
Construct Two Group’s innovations, including interactive 3D modeling for technical reviews and continuous facility geometry analysis, were crucial to its success.
